RUNNING ORDER: Dogs will be run in the order that entries are received with consideration given to dogs being handled by the same handler.  The test committee reserves the right to modify the running order to keep the event running smoothly.  

 

AWARDS: Light Green Ribbons will be awarded for qualifiers in Introduction to Quarry. Dark Green Rosettes will be awarded for qualifiers in Junior, Senior and Master Tests.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

 

A SEPARATE ENTRY FORM IS REQUIRED PER DOG PER ENTRY. 

 

All dogs must be on a short leash under control while on test grounds except while testing. NO FLEXI-LEADS PERMITTED ON TEST SITE.

Dogs need be present only at the scheduled time of judging according to the judging schedule listed in the premium list.

No loose dogs allowed on the grounds outside the judging areas.

 

Please bring weather-appropriate gear; tests are run rain or shine.

In the event of natural disaster or other circumstances which may deem it too dangerous to safely hold the event, entry fees will not be refunded after the closing time for each class.

No entry fees will be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Test Committee.

No entry fees will be refunded for duplicate entries.

Bitches in season are not eligible for entry.  Pre-entry fees for bitches that come into season will be refunded until closing time of the class.  After a class closes, entry fees will not be refunded.

It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children.  Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances, repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Test Committee, be asked to leave the test site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made.

 

 

Please bring adequate water for you and your dogs as the snack bar is a long walk from the earthdog dens. No meals will be offered at this test site; however, the snack bar will be open.

 

Owners are responsible for errors in completing entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date/time.

Entry forms must be signed at the bottom by the owner or the owner’s duly authorized agent, otherwise, entry cannot be accepted.

Telegraphed, telephoned or faxed entries, entries sent by registered mail, or those made on any form other than an Official American Kennel Club Entry Form cannot be accepted.

Be sure to bring the information needed to complete the entry forms.  A copy of the dog’s registration certificate contains the necessary information.

Incomplete entry forms will not be accepted.

 

LOCAL HOTELS

 

Hotel policies vary. Please check with the hotel on their pet policy when making your reservation. The committee reserves authority over behavior at the hotel in addition to the event grounds. Please be a courteous guest so hotels will continue to welcome exhibitors in the future.

MOTOR HOMES AND TENT CAMPING

 

Purina Farms offers electric hookups, with water available to fill your tank, at no charge on a first come - first serve basis.  You can also tent camp on the grounds for no charge.  Purina has recently installed several full hookup sites with electric, sewer, and water for a $25.00 per night charge.

If arriving after 5 PM, on either Friday, June 1, 2012 or Saturday, June 2, 2012, a guard is on call at the entry gate to assist you.

 

Senior Earthdog class is open only to dogs that have acquired the Junior Earth dog title before the closing of entries. Master Earthdog class is open only to dogs that have acquired the Senior Earthdog title before the closing of entries. Dogs may be entered into only one regular class each day except dogs which have earned the Master Earthdog title.

The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this test, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this event.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Dogs must be six months of age or older and be registered with the American Kennel Club. Spayed and neutered dogs, dogs with Limited Registration, and dogs of an eligible breed that have been granted Purebred Alternative Listing /Indefinite Listing Privilege (PAL/ILP)are eligible to participate. Dogs that are blind and deaf shall not be eligible. Bitches in season shall not be eligible to enter the test. All dogs six months of age or older from the following breeds are eligible to participate in these Earthdog Events.

 

AKC RECOGNIZED EARTHDOG BREEDS:  Australian Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Border Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Dachshund, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Glen of Imaal Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Manchester Terrier, Miniature Bull Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer, Norfolk Terrier, Norwich Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, Scottish Terrier, Sealyham Terrier, Silky Terrier, Skye Terrier, Smooth Fox Terrier, Welsh Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, and Wire Fox Terrier; Foundation Stock Service Breeds:  Cesky Terrier, Rat Terrier, and Russell Terrier
